Diet Coke was first introduced in August 9th 1982. It was the first new brand since 1886 which was when the original Coca - Cola was introduced.
Diet Coke is sugar - free which lowers the calories but instead of using sugar they use artificial sweetener called aspartame.
When Diet Coke is marketed it is particularly marketing towards women.
Coke Zero
Coke Zero is marketed towards men as having the same Coke taste but zero sugar leaving consumers to believe that Coke Zero has the same taste as Coke but has no sugar therefore being a healthier option.
Like Diet Coke instead of using sugar the company use artificially sweetness such as aspartame.
